Who We Are
Seaforth’s founders bring complementary experience in corporate credit, restructuring, risk management, sustainable finance and organizational change. Together, we have worked across Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.
“Connecting distant shores” reflects those connections: between countries, disciplines and the stakeholders involved in a decision.
Scott Bernard, CPA (Ontario)
Scott has nearly 30 years of experience in banking and finance across the Americas, specializing in corporate credit, restructuring, risk management and governance.
At a major Canadian bank, he oversaw a multibillion-dollar, high-risk wholesale credit portfolio across Latin America and the Caribbean. He designed an early warning system subsequently adopted globally, contributed to global IFRS 9 models and led global wholesale provisioning.
Scott has lived and worked in five countries and serves on the board of a family office in Panama. He is completing a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at Royal Roads University, researching how institutions and economic systems shape organizational decisions.
Soledad Ramírez
Soledad has more than 25 years of experience in corporate credit and banking across Latin America and Canada. Her work spans sustainable finance, organizational development and sustainability strategy.
She built a sustainable finance business that grew tenfold in three years and established a sustainability function, embedding objectives and accountability into business management. She also designed a wholesale banking collaboration model and contributed to award-winning sustainability reporting and improved Dow Jones Sustainability Index ratings.
Soledad has served on an asset manager board and the Executive Committee of UN Global Compact Chile. She holds a degree in Ingeniería Comercial from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and is completing a Master’s in Sustainable Business at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
